Charity research

After thinking of our idea to make the quilt i began looking into charities that would take donations in the form of a quilt over money, also looking into charities that are underfunded by the government and need that little but extra to help.

The charities and places to donate to iv'e narrowed down to

  • Ronald McDonald house.
  • Womens Refuge.
  • Children's wing at Wellington Hospital.
  • Starship Hospital.
  • Sending to an orphanage overseas - E.g. Cambodia.
  • Red Cross Refugee Centre.
  • Homeless Shelter.
  • Child Cancer Foundation.
  • Te O Managa Hospice.
  • Canteen - Cancer Kids.

This was another project that makes all of these beautifully coloured quilts and sends them to children who are suffering from illness, trauma and devastating loss. (some of what they do for kids is shown below)
